Mike Knauf is leader of his jazz quartet, The Mike Knauf Quartet. The Quartet plays mainstream jazz. They draw from a diverse jazz repertoire, including standard swing, Latin, Be-bop and modern jazz compositions, as well as original arrangements written by members of the group. The quartet includes Mike Knauf on Tenor Saxophone, Soprano Saxophone and Flute; Pianist, Gordon James; Bassist and Vocalist, Mark Sorlie and Drummer, Scott Merrill. Members of the quartet have played with many well-known jazz artists and groups, including: Frank Mantooth, Bobby Shew, Jimmy Dorsey, Billy Eckstine, Lou Marini, Pete Christlieb, Arturo Sandoval, Randy Brecker and many more. The quartet has performed for many parties, events, festivals and clubs.
